Professional Interior Wall Painting

Interior wall painting is one of the most effective ways to update a home, but the finished result depends on the surface below the paint. Nexa Painting repairs common defects, protects surrounding finishes and applies coatings using methods suited to the room, substrate and desired appearance.

We paint individual rooms, main floors, stairwells, finished basements, condos and complete homes. We can also help coordinate wall colours with flooring, cabinetry, trim and natural light so the finished space feels intentional.

Choosing a Wall Paint Finish for Everyday Living

Choose a wall finish around the room, not just the colour chart. Daylight, evening lighting, furniture and regular cleaning all affect the decision. A busy hallway may need different performance from a quiet bedroom, even when both use the same colour.

Lower sheen can soften the appearance of imperfections; more reflective finishes reveal texture more readily. Washability depends on the paint product too, so compare its stated performance. During your Nexa estimate, identify repairs, major colour changes and whether ceilings or trim are included. That helps us recommend a finish and price the room refresh you actually want.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does interior wall painting take?

A typical room can often be prepared and painted within one or two working days. Full homes require a project-specific schedule, and repairs, colour changes and occupied-room logistics can affect timing.

Do you move and cover furniture?

We ask that small and fragile items be removed. Larger furniture can be repositioned as agreed, then covered with plastic while floors are protected before preparation and painting begin.

How many coats of paint are included?

The estimate identifies the coating system needed for an even, durable finish. Two finish coats are common, but primer, deep colours and existing surface conditions can change the requirement.

Can you repair damaged walls first?

Yes. Standard nail holes, dents, small cracks and minor drywall damage can usually be included. Larger replacement or extensive skim coating is priced separately.

What sheen works best on walls?

Eggshell is common in living areas because it balances appearance and washability. Matte, satin or other finishes may suit specific rooms, lighting or maintenance needs.

Can you paint while we live in the home?

Yes. We can sequence rooms, maintain access where practical and agree on daily cleanup so the home remains manageable during the project.
